ALPA Continues Support for Rural Aid as 2026 Charity Partner

The Australian Livestock & Property Agents Association Ltd (ALPA) has reaffirmed its commitment to Rural Aid, announcing the organisation as its official charity partner for 2026 following a highly successful fundraising partnership in 2025.

Through charity auctions held at ALPA events across the country in 2025, ALPA members collectively raised $118,350 in support of Rural Aid’s vital work assisting Australian farmers, their families and rural communities.

ALPA CEO Peter Baldwin said the decision to continue the partnership was an easy one.

“Following the extraordinary generosity shown by our members in 2025 and the tangible impact those funds are already having on rural communities, the ALPA Board unanimously agreed to continue supporting Rural Aid in 2026,” Mr Baldwin said.

“What Rural Aid does aligns closely with who we are as an industry. Our members work alongside producers every day and see first-hand the pressures they face – particularly during times of natural disaster. Supporting Rural Aid allows us to stand shoulder to shoulder with our clients and communities when they need it most.”

The continuation of the partnership comes at a time when rural Australia is once again facing significant challenges, with devastating floods impacting northern regions while bushfires continue to threaten communities in the south.

“These tragic events reinforce just how critical organisations like Rural Aid are,” Mr Baldwin said. “Their ability to respond quickly and provide practical, on-the-ground support before, during and after disasters makes a real difference to the wellbeing and resilience of rural Australia.”

Rural Aid CEO John Warlters welcomed ALPA’s ongoing support.

“ALPA members are often among the first people farmers turn to during tough times, so there is a natural and powerful alignment between our organisations,” Mr Warlters said. “The funds raised through ALPA’s charity auctions in 2025 have already helped us deliver much-needed support, and we are incredibly grateful for the continued partnership in 2026.”

ALPA will again support Rural Aid through fundraising initiatives at key industry events throughout 2026, including its much-anticipated charity auctions, which have become a highlight of the association’s annual calendar.
