Northern Tablelands MP Brendan Moylan has revealed there was some tension among NSW Nationals party members who believed they weren’t doing enough under former leader Dugald Saunders who resigned on Monday.
Speaking on STA FM, Mr Moylan says there was tension in the party with some members criticizing around lack of policy development, they weren’t telling the Party’s story and holding the Minns government to account.
Mr Moylan new leader Gurmesh Singh and his Deputy Kevin Anderson addressed the party on Tuesday following the leadership ballot and again reaffirmed their position on Net Zero, to reduce emission in line with the rest of the world but to scrap unachievable 2050 targets because it’s impacting regional NSW.
He says changing leaders is not a pleasant process but hopes now the party and focus on the job at hand and that is the next state election in 2027
