Inverell Shire Council has received a prestigious award at the NSW Aquatic and Recreation Institute’s annual award event held last week at Sydney Olympic Park.
Inverell Shire Mayor Kate Dight and Director Environmental Services Greg Doman were on hand to receive the award for Regional Facility of the Year for the Inverell Aquatic Centre – recognising the facility’s operational excellence, innovation and the significant positive impact on the health and wellbeing of the Inverell community.
Mayor Kate Dight says the hard work Council did over many years has paid off.
The awards celebrate the individuals, teams, organisations and facilities that are shaping the future of the aquatic and recreation industry across New South Wales.
