The Inverell East Rotary Club has done it again!
The Town Hall audience on Friday night Friday night October 16 was treated to a dazzling array of performers, young and old, as the Inverell’s Got Talent spectacular signalled the beginning of yet another Sapphire City Festival.
Singers, dancers, musicians and storytellers competed for a share of the $2000 prize money in fine style and were enthusiastically applauded by an appreciative audience.
Inverell East Rotary members, along with partners, community members and Inverell High student volunteers organised and ran this popular annual event.
With Peter Caddey M.C. and Allen East on lights and sound, the Inverell Town Hall came alive with the sound of the music with the club very grateful to the Inverell Shire Council, the Festival Committee, all our generous local sponsors and STA-FM for their wonderful encouragement and support. IGT is undoubtedly a huge team effort.
The results were as follows
The Jenny Fox Memorial Prize for Best Junior went to Kalen Lind with Encouragement Awards to Rhythm Power United and James Newell.
In the senior section the judges chose the Top 5, The Storytellers, Susan Davis, Sunset and Camden, Savannah and Harlow Lea and, Clara Dixon before announcing the overall winner for 2026 as Susan Davis.
A Highly Commended Award went to Bethany Pearse.
Many thanks to our judges, local performer and music teacher Peter Blyth, and guest performers, Ashleigh Campbell and Jasmine Aleisha.
The large and enthusiastic audience appreciated the entertainment provided by guest performance Craze Dance Academy, our 2025 Open Winner Hayley Phillipps-Lewis, Chris Richter, Jasmine Aleisha, Peter Caddey and Ashleigh Campbell (supported by Hamish Smith). Ashley won the Open Prize in 2015 before going onto pursue a career in Musical Theatre and Music Education.
Prizes were presented by Inverell East Rotary President, Julie Clendinning. A big vote of thanks to all concerned, especially Rotarian Richard Hudson who stepped into Tim Newberry ‘s big Shoes.
