A good crowd braved blustery conditions at the annual Holy Trinity Race Day at Inverell with mixed luck for the locals.
Most commanding win of the day was by Ridge Wilson’s MORE CASH which careered away to an 8-length win in the Benchmark 50.
Eyes and ears were also focused on the $2 million Kosciusko at Randwick where Todd Payne’s LIZSTOMANIA finished 5th collecting a $60,000 cheque while the Tatts Inverell syndicate horse So You Pence ran into third placing.
Jockey Kerrin McEvoy said LIZSTOMANIA ran great after beginning well and he was closer to the leaders than he wanted to be which may have taken the edge off his finish.
So You Pence jockey Tim Clark says she ran really well and found herself on the back of the first two at various stages.
