Local businesses are being invited to participate in the inaugural Veteran Vehicle & Business Run this Saturday as part of the Sapphire City Festival.
Organiser Graeme Tampion says after the demise of the annual festival parade, people had wondered if the spectacle would return.
Mr Tampion says car run is one way of possibly returning the parade back to the festival and is encouraging local businesses with business branded vehicles to assemble in Oliver St between Vivian and Wood Streets by 4pm this Saturday.
Vehicles are welcomed to be decorated but must be driven by a licensed driver and the vehicle to have current registration and insurance.
He says he’s already got around 25 vehicles engaged but is hoping for more by Saturday.
