A Community meeting last Saturday at Bundarra to discuss the future of the local fire brigade has uncovered possible members that may be recruited to keep the station operating.
The meeting was called after it was revealed that the brigade was in need of new members to be able to respond to incidents.
Around 30 community and brigade members gathered for a chat about the engagement of new and existing members after volunteer numbers had dropped off significantly with the open discussion highlighting several potential options to build membership of the brigade.
New England Zone Rural Fire Service says they have five prospective new members adding they look forward to seeing what the future holds for this small community.
