Inverell MacIntyre Lions Club held their Changeover and Installation Dinner last night and have installed a new President for the next 12 months.
Lion Bob Rogers takes the reigns as president from Chris Lindberg with Cate Ivens installed as Secretary, and Beth Sutton as Treasurer.
In his report, Mr Lindberg mentioned the fantastic new amenities and shed at Joesph Wills Park, the success of the Mini Lotto competition, and community sausage sizzles held on Saturday mornings as tremendous successes during the year and thanked all the members for their involvement in various activities.
Over $31,000 was donated by the Club to various organisations and charities with Operation Operating Room receiving $5000 to go towards the purchase of a portable ultrasound, Australian Lions Hearing Dogs $3000 to sponsor a hearing dog, Inverell VRA and the Westpac Rescue Helicopter $1000 while STA FM and NSW Cancer Council received a donation of $500.
