Local cricketers will be looking towards the skies and hoping the recent weather will stay away so they can get a start to the Inverell Cricket competition.
The first two rounds were abandoned due to saturated fields with the forecast of a possible shower tomorrow for Inverell possibly wreaking havoc on Round 3 matches.
The three matches scheduled for tomorrow include the clash between Staggy Creek and Tingha at Varley Oval, Square and Compass face Delungra at McCosker 2 while Campbell & Freebairn Rebels host Glen Innes at Cameron Park.
Meantime, Representative Cricket is also scheduled for Sunday with Inverell hosting Gwydir at Varley Oval in the second round of the Connolly Cup.
Inverell forfeited their round 1 match to Tamworth earlier this month due to player availability while Gwydir lost to Armidale by 4 wickets.
