Inverell Lions Club hosted the Regional Final of the “Youth of the Year” with four students represented their communities from Inverell Lions Club, Guyra Lions club, Glen Innes Highlands Lions and Armidale Dumaresq Club.
Macintyre High School Year 11 student Jacqueline Paton contested the regional final against Rory Husband, Eli Wood and Camilla Coupland and won the Public Speaking section.
Jacqueline spoke on 2 impromptu speeches regarding International Women’s Day and the woman who inspires her most and where she sees herself in 10 years’ time.
The overall winner of the “Youth of the Year” was Camilla Coupland from Armidale who will now go onto the District Judging.
