Inverell Legacy has reported that 2023/24 was their best financial year in many years.
Treasurer Peter Kearsey detailed in his report on Sunday at Legacy’s Anniversary Luncheon that despite cost of living pressures, they were able to raise over $21,000 for the financial year – up by $3584 on the previous year.
Mr Kearsey stated the Legacy Centre and the Legacy Units continued to be their main source of income.
He stated the majority of spending went towards welfare with most of the dollars used to support junior beneficiaries.
Inverell legacy provided winter and summer subsidies to all beneficiaries as well as supplying personal alarms, lock boxes, and smoke detector to those who needed them.
