Emergency crews were called out to Glen Innes Rd Inverell to reports of a house fire last night.
Upon arrival, crews found the house was well alight but fortunately no one was in the house as the occupants were out at the time of the fire.
Fire and Rescue NSW with assistance of the Rural Fire Service attended and extinguished fire.
The highway was closed for a period of time last night
Fire and Rescue NSW Inverell Captain Robbie Wighton says the determination of the fire ignition is still to be investigated.
