The matter involving a 27-year-old man who allegedly stabbed a man in his 30’s in Guyra in June is set to be back before Armidale Local court today.

McMahon was arrested at a unit on Canambe Street, allegedly trying to flee the scene but was subsequently arrested, allegedly in possession of a hunting knife at the time and attempting to resist arrest.
Several officers suffered minor lacerations during the arrest.
McMahon, who has been behind bars since the incident, is facing the charges of Wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, Hinder or resist police officer in the execution of duty, Assault police officer in execution of duty without actual bodily harm, and Carry cutting weapon upon apprehension.
