New England Police are investigating an accident involving a utility and a cow on the new England Highway yesterday morning.
About 6.30am, emergency services were called to the scene near Glencoe, south of Glen Innes, after reports a utility had hit a cow.
The driver – a 63-year-old man – was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics for minor injuries.
The cow was euthanised on scene.
Inquiries are ongoing.
