The Inverell Saints have the chance to host this year’s AFL Northwest Grand Final for a third successive year when they host the Tamworth Swans in tomorrow’s Major Semi Final against the Tamworth Swans.
Saints Men’s Coach Hayden Chappel says the boys have been training at a very high intensity to combat the lack of games they’ve played over the past few weeks and believes they’re primed and ready to go.
Chappel says they’re excited for tomorrow’s game and can’t wait to play in front of a big crowd.
Meantime the Saints Women’s team face their arch-rival, the Gunnedah Poochettes in a game that’s expected to be close and physical.
Women’s Coach Chris Pay says they’re keen to bounce back after their 1-point loss the visitors in their last game a few weeks ago and believes his team can progress to their 5th straight grand final.
The day kick off with the women’s Preliminary Final at 12 noon followed by the men’s game at 2pm
