Inverell Shire council have discussed the development application for a new Hungry Jacks franchise and the rumours swirling around that the business had pulled out.
Councils’ Director Environmental Services Greg Doman advised Councillors that the development application was passed in March, subject to several conditions adding the development is now in the hands of Hungry Jacks to proceed.
Cr Greg Kachel asked whether a proposed roundabout on the corner of Oliver and Mansfield Streets, was part of the conditions to which Mr Doman confirmed there was no condition to install a roundabout at that intersection.
Mayor Kate Dight confirmed to STA FM that Hungry Jacks development has stalled and won’t be constructed at this stage.
