by | Dec 3, 2024 | Community, Health | 0 comments

Women over 40 are being encouraged to make an appointment with the BreastScreen NSW mobile van in Inverell, located at the carpark opposite the Town Hall, corner of Evans and Campbell Streets.

The Van is listed on the Breastscreen NSW website to be in Inverell until the 19th of December and operates weekdays between 8:10am through to 4:10pm.

BreastScreen NSW aim to improve the survival rates of women with breast cancer by providing free screening mammograms to women aged 50-74 while women aged 40-49 and women aged 75 and over are also eligible to attend.

A breast screen is the best way to detect breast cancer early, before you notice a change or feel a lump in the breast and an appointment only takes 20 minutes every 2 years which could save your life.

To make a booking, call 132050 or head to book.breastscreen.nsw.gov.au.
