VIEW Club members from across NSW have celebrated the 65th anniversary of its founding with an afternoon tea hosted by the Governor of New South Wales, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley, at Government House, in Sydney.
VIEW, which stands for the Voice, Interests and Education of Women, is a national women’s organisation and support network bringing women together in local communities to enjoy social activities, develop skills, make connections and participate in networking events while supporting and advocating for the education of young Australians in need.
Governor Beazley says it gives her great pleasure to celebrate this occasion with the dedicated women of VIEW adding the organisation has made an immense contribution to Australian society for over six decades.
VIEW’s National President Elizabeth Birch says they have an exciting year planned with new clubs opening and celebrations throughout Australia as well as being The Smith Family’s largest community sponsor of students on the Learning for Life program, a partnership they hope will continue into the future.
