Motorbikes of various persuasions will rattle down the main streets of Inverell tomorrow to take part in the annual Inverell Salvation Army Toy and Poker Run.
Motorbike enthusiast will gather at the Country Kitchen opposite the Post Office and will ride through town to drop off donated toys and gifts at Inverell Motorcycles before continuing on with the Poker Run.
Wendy-Sue Swan from the Inverell Salvation Army says demand continues to grow around the region and this initiative hopes to make those struggling through the current cost-of-living crisis, have a better Christmas.
She says they’re hoping for more donations to meet the demand.
Registrations for the Poker Run for the Salvation Army will take place from 8.30am costing $25.00 per person and commencing at 10am.
Those wanting to donate an item can drop off their gifts at Prices Plus, Borthwick & Butler Solicitors, Reject Shop, Price Busters, Sports Power/Toyworld, Campbell & Freebairn Pharmacy, Salvation Army store or Avern McIntyre Solicitors.
