Residents in Warialda, Coolatai and surrounds have had no communications after their Telstra mobile coverage went down yesterday.
Gwydir Shire Council advise Telstra has confirmed that there was an unplanned outage in these areas and Pallamallawa adding it was unclear when mobile services would be restored
Shire Mayor Tiffany Galvin says she had been in contact with both Northern Tablelands MP Brendan Moylan and Member for New England Barnaby Joyce with both advocating for Gwydir residents to have improved services.
Mayor Galvin says Council has a planned meeting with Telstra on 18 June 2025 and they will be adding this recent outage to the list of matters to be discussed adding Council is doing all it can to improve services cross the whole of their Shire.
