A 15-year-old teenager has been charged following the theft of a vehicle last week from the Inverell CBD.
Police say a Toyota Hilux was stolen from Byron St last Thursday evening just before 7pm.
It’s believed the keys were left in the Hilux at the time of the incident.
Police were contacted and managed to recover the vehicle shorty after.
Following investigations, police arrested the teenager and charged him with stealing the vehicle and other traffic offences.
He fronted Children’s Court last week.
Inverell Police have again reminded the community to secure vehicles and cars when left unattended.
