Inverell Golf Clubs Sapphire Cup was decided on Sunday when the 212 players completed the second day of the event in very hot conditions.
Tamworth pair, Beau Thomas and Rodney Geddes finished with 49 points on Saturday to win the days Forsyths 4-ball-best-ball. They followed up with 44 points on Sunday giving them a total of 93 points and the 2025 RSM Sapphire Cup. They were 2 points clear of 2nd placed Thomas O’Brien and William Clark.
1 point behind Beau and Rodney on Saturday were Thomas O’Brien (Inverell) & William Clark (Queensland).
Sunday’s Inverell H Hardware 4-ball-best-ball was taken out by Jack Stafford (Redland Bay) and Mitch Myler (Noosa) with 49 points. They were followed by Nick & Steve Glover (Inverell).
Scratch winners were Ethan Ford (Gunnedah) & Rohan Ford (Grafton) on Saturday and Sam O’Brien (Mereweather) & Jack Hickey (Sydney) on Sunday.
Dennis Dempsey was the best of the 133 players in Friday’s Scott Mackenzie Lawyers Dash for Cash.
