The Northwest School Sports Association swimming events which were cancelled due to the potential impact of tropical cyclone Alfred, have been rescheduled.
The Association state the cancellation was made due to the safety of those travelling to the trials adding their priority is always the health, safety, and wellbeing of students, families, and their staff.
With the cyclone’s worst effects now behind them, the trials have been rescheduled to occur on Monday, 24 March for the Primary Swimming trials while the Secondary trials will take place on Tuesday, 25 March at Monckton Aquatic Centre, in Armidale.
The Northwest School Sports Association thank all school communities involved for their patience and understanding while they’ve navigated the challenging situation.
