The Inverell Saints have come away with a win and a draw from their trial matches against the Goondiwindi Hawks on Saturday at Varley Oval.
The Saints women scrapped a 3 point win in the first match while the Men lead late in their game by 3 goals only to fritter away the match to end with a draw after the Hawks scored a goal after the siren level scores at 53 points apiece.
Saints coach Matt Harrison says it was good both Saints teams had a chance to blow the cobwebs off before their first round AFL Northwest matches against Gunnedah on May 3rd.
