It’s a big day for the Inverell Saints Football Club when they host their annual Kevin Pay Memorial day against the Tamworth Swans at Varley Oval tomorrow as part of round 6 of the AFL Northwest competition.
The Saints will wear special black and white jerseys to remember Mr Pay, a great supporter and contributor to the Club who played with the Collingwood Football Club back in the 1960’s.
On the field, the Saints men want to hand out revenge against the Swans who defeated them in their earlier encounter this season and is expected to name a stronger team that took to the field in Tamworth last month
A win will see the Saints jump to the top of the AFL Northwest ladder and boost their chances of hosting this year’s grand finals.
The Women are unbeaten to date and will hope to continue their dominance against the Swanettes.
Matches kick off at 12 noon.
Meantime the Tamworth Kangaroos play the Gunnedah Bulldogs at No1 oval in Tamworth tomorrow while Inverell will host the Junior gala day at Varley Oval on Sunday
