Inverell Saints Football Club are gearing up for a big day tomorrow at Varley Oval when they feature in both the Men’s and Women’s AFL Northwest Grand Finals.
Men’s Coach Hayden Chappel says they’ve had a terrific week on the training paddock with the boys ready for a peak performance against the Tamworth Swans
Chappel says they’re looking for redemptions after last year’s premiership loss to the Swans adding they’re hoping the Inverell community will come out in the red, white and black and support the teams.
Meantime, the Saints Women are hoping that playing regular games will have them primed to tackle the Gunnedah Poochettes.
Saints Captain Clare McCosker says the girls are ready and will be keen to create a bit of club history by being the first Saints team to claim 3 successive premierships.
The Women’s Grand Final starts at 12 noon followed by the Men’s decider at 2pm at Varley Oval – Entry into the ground is free.
