This March, Children’s Cancer Institute is calling on Australians to step up for children with cancer by taking part in 86K for a Cure – a nationwide fundraising challenge with a powerful purpose.
Now in its fifth year, 86K for a Cure encourages participants to walk or run 86 kilometres across the month which symbolises the 86 children diagnosed with cancer in Australia every single month.
Executive Director of Children’s Cancer Institute, Louis Chesler says every step taken and every kilometre conquered supports vital research to pioneer safer, more targeted treatments.
Open to individuals, families, schools and workplaces, 86K for a Cure offers a meaningful way for communities across Australia to unite behind a common goal – whether driven by personal experience or the desire to make a difference.
