An Inverell Sports and Fitness Centre has been the proud recipient of one of the largest grant funding for a small organisation in the New England region.
The Sapphire Academy of Sports in Inverell, which is a not-for-profit Boxing martial arts and well-being Centre under Jobs Australia Enterprises, has been successful in receiving funding of $270,000 with NSW Minister for Aboriginal Affairs and Treaty, David Harris, delivering the good news.
The funding will be used for much needed infrastructure including lining and heating as well as well as widening the centre to hold events and adding a full area of performance and recovery with equipment such as saunas and ice baths.
Social Enterprise Manager for the Sapphire Academy of Sports, Darrien Finn, is very grateful for the funding with Member for Northern Tablelands Brendan Moylan on site to offer his congratulations to the organisation.
