Pool Fun in Gwydir Shire

by | Nov 15, 2024 | Community, Local Government | 0 comments

Gwydir Shire Council is calling all young people aged 10 and above to come along to the Summer Pool Fun events for a meet and greet with Tori McDougall, Council’s Youth Development Officer.

This is a chance for people to come together and catch up with Tori, as she is eager to start making connections and form relationships with the youth of the Gwydir Shire.

Council aims to bridge the gap with the younger generation by having Tori in the Youth Development Officer role with the intention of providing a listening ear, who is happy to discuss general topics and what young people want to achieve.

Tori is keen to hear what the youth within the Shire have to say and come up with ways to make the local community a better place.

The aim of the Summer Pool Fun events is to provide opportunities, activities and life skills to the future generations.

It is a chance for young people to come together with friends or to meet new people, but to also chat with a more senior figure who they can feel safe and comfortable with.

Make the most of these events by enjoying the free snacks and talking with someone who has your best interests in mind.

Tori is able to provide access to more complex professional services if needed.
