Inverell police have arrested one man and are searching for a second offender following a break-in at the Inverell Aquatic centre on Tuesday night.
About 9pm, two offenders gained entry to the facility whilst the building was closed and an amount of property including electronic devices were stolen.
About 2.30pm yesterday afternoon, Inverell Police, assisted by a specialist unit, arrested a 26-year-old Inverell man on Mansfield Street in relation to the matter.
A search warrant was executed later in the day at an address in Chester Street in relation to the investigation with an Inverell man later charged with ‘Aggravated Break enter and steal’ and was refused bail by police and will appear in Inverell Local Court today
Investigations are continuing into the involvement of the second offender.
