A lightning move at the 600 metres point has led to a devastating back to back Bundarra Cup win for the Inverell trained SHAMEDY.
Sent out a $1.50 favourite in the five horse field, SHAMEDY’s rider Paige Fereguson-Smith took the horse from last to first and spreadeagled the field to win by 12 lengths from MYSTERY LAD, with RINGSIDE third.
It was trainer Todd Payne’s third successive Bundarra Cup, having won it in 2024 with SENSATIONAL REWARD when the meeting was transferred to Armidale.
Apprentice Jordie Thompson rode 3 winners at the Bundarra Cup meeting which was again attended by a large crowd in ideal weather.
