Inverell trainer Todd Payne will be eyeing off a berth in next month’s Country Championships Final at Randwick when his horse Lisztomania goes around in the Hunter Northwest Country championship qualifier in Tamworth on Sunday
Lisztomania, who is coming off a barnstorming win last month which gave Payne his first TAB Highway, has drawn barrier 20 and will have Luke Rolls on board
Payne says the horse will need to run top 2 in Tamworth on Sunday to get a berth in the $1 million final on the first day of the Championships on April 5th.
Payne says he thinks they’re up to it, adding it’s a very tough heat but they’re in it up to their eyeballs believing Lisztomania is screaming for the 1400m.
