A teenager has been charged over an alleged break and enter in Moree as part of Operation Regional Mongoose.
About 10am on Sunday 6 October, police were called to a house on Edward Street, Moree, following reports of a break and enter, with officers attached to New England Police District attending and found the house had allegedly been broken into and ransacked, with several items stolen.
Police established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident, and following inquiries, about 12.45pm yesterday, a 14-year-old boy was arrested at Moree Police Station.
He was charged with one count of aggravated break and enter dwelling in company steal.
The teenager was granted conditional bail to appear before a children’s court on Thursday 19 December 2024.
