Police have thanked the community after a 27-year-old man was located in Inverell yesterday afternoon following the issuing of a Geo-Text by NSW Police.
Investigations into his whereabouts commenced after he was last seen on Wednesday evening at a licensed premises on Grey St in Glen Innes.
Police and his family held concerns for his welfare.
The man was located safe just after 2:30pm and taken to hospital for on-going assessment.
Police say the public was instrumental in locating the missing man.
