A man aged in his 70’s was airlifted by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter following a quad bike accident at Mt Russell on Sunday afternoon.
NSW Ambulance were called to the scene just after 3:15 to a report a man had been injured after the quadbike he was riding, hit a cow, and rolled.
The man sustained shoulder and back injuries and was treated by local paramedics before the Rescue Helicopters critical care medical team arrived on the scene.
He was flown to Tamworth Base hospital with his current condition unknown.
