The Inverell Show kicks off today with organisers anticipating bumper crowds and blue skies over the next two days.
Show Society president Jodie Burtenshaw says the programme includes a variety of ring events, tonight’s Rodeo and the official opening ceremony with Inverell Shire Mayor Kate Dight opening the show, as well as the announcement of the winner of the 2025 Inverell Show’s Rural Young Women competition with Sarah Townsend and Tracy Burns in line for the honour.
Mr Burtenshaw says a massive program is planned over the two days with the Cowgirl with Wings performances, woodchopping and whip cracking competitions and fireworks display on Saturday night followed by the grand finale being the high-octane excitement of the Demolition Derby.
He encouraged patrons to have a look at this year’s pavilion entries with good numbers entered in the various categories as well as the spectacular rides in SideShow alley.
