THIS weekend’s Tingha markets will provide lifesaving know how, with a series of free
presentations on first aid, how to operate a defibrillator and demonstrations on how to respond in
emergency situations such as snake bites.
The demonstration is an initiative of Wing Hing Long Museum and the presentations will be
delivered by First Aid trainer, Allen East.
Along with the regular market stalls of plants, cakes, craft and fresh produce, there will be bacon and
egg rolls and Dutch pancakes on sale as well as live music by Tingha’s own, Ian Willington.
The first aid demonstrations will be held at 9.00am, 10.00am, 11.00am and 11.30am.
Allen will also be on hand to answer your first aid questions and provide tips on the must haves for
every first aid kit.
Allen’s presentation at the markets is funded thanks to Sapphire Wind Farm.
