New England MP Barnaby Joyce says he fears about the national debt which is forecast to hit $1 trillion this financial year.
Speaking on STA FM, Mr Joyce says one of the biggest expenditure items is money we now owe other people and the interest we have to pay for that money.
Mr Joyce highlighted the inflating costs of the NDIS, suggesting it’s out of control and the costs involved in subsidising overseas companies to build renewable power precincts as major contributors to the national debt.
He says he could see national debt exploding over a decade ago due to current and former governments over spending adding he has no idea how this burden will be paid back.
