Inverell Jockey Club officials will be casting their eyes skyward this week in the hope the rain doesn’t affect another race meeting.
When nominations were received the track was rated a Heavy 8 and a break in the weather is needed to allow this Saturday’s meeting to go ahead.
An enormous 117 nominations have been received for the six-race programme, including a record 37 for the DON BARTLETT MEMORIAL BUSH BATTLERS CUP.
Gates will open on Saturday at 12 noon with full bar and canteen facilities along with the Inverell Picnic Race Club Marquee.
