The countdown is on for the inaugural Jammin on the Green at Inverell Sporties tomorrow – an event aimed at raising funds for local families hit with serious illness.
Organisers are hoping to raise around $10,000 for needy families struck down by illness with musicians Brock Mathers, Richie Gudgeon, Rachel Kennedy and band 3 Days to Friday are all locked in for the event.
Damian Smith from Inverell Sporties says the idea for the band jam was generated after several local people were struck down by serious illnesses adding the Club and local musicians wanted to give back to the community to assist families going through a hard time.
He says their aim is to distribute funds to families in need, facing hefty medical costs
It’s a $10 cover charge and doors are expected to open at 3pm with the event kicking off at 4 o’clock
