Inverell is sitting in a very healthy position compared to some other Local Government Areas within the New England with regards to its population projections for the next 20 yrs, according to a report by the NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure.
The report has shown that Regional NSW is expected to grow by approximately 2 million people by 2041, with Inverell showing a 0.2% growth projection for that period; the report also showing that people are making the tree change from the city life due to a range of social and economic factors such as employment, housing, their stage of life (either with small children or at retirement) and cultural considerations.
