Inverell High School have announced that their Year 12 2025 students will be supporting the Belinda McGowan Foundation in raising money to purchase a double-sized cuddle bed for Inverell Hospital
The foundation is devoted to enhancing the quality of end-of-life care by equipping hospitals with double-sized cuddle beds allowing patients and their loved ones to share intimate and comforting moments together during such meaningful times.
The Belinda McGowan Foundation has been established in honour of Flight Lieutenant Belinda McGowan of the Royal Australian Air Force, who lost her battle with cancer in 2021 and in her final days wanted only to be cuddled by her husband Bruce.
Inverell High School Principal Wayne Folk says this is a wonderful opportunity for the school community to make a lasting impact and support such a worthy cause in our community.
Mr Folk says Inverell High School’s Year 12 Class of 2025 is aiming to raise $20,000 to purchase a bed.
