Northern Tablelands MP Brendan Moylan has announced the Inverell ambulance station has received state government funding to refurbish the facility.
Mr Moylan recently met with local paramedics at the station and announced that around $300,000 has been allocated for the upgrade.
Speaking on STA FM, Mr Moylan says the station is on the list of towns needing a new station, but the funding announcement will band aid over some of the cracks.
He says the working conditions at the station are ancient adding they have no air conditioning in their training rooms which is totally unacceptable.
