The Inverell Highlanders have notched their first win of the Central North Rugby season after they recorded a 47-36 win over Pirates at Rugby Park on Saturday.
1st grade coach Gemma Noller was extremely happy with the win, saying they were able to turn key moments into points this week and that the players are starting to trust each other whilst sticking to the process.
Gunnedah Red Devils cemented their place at the top of the points table with a determined 25-12 win over Moree Wee Bolla Bulls while Quirindi caused an upset when they travelled to Narrabri and defeated reigning premiers the Blu Boars 32-22
Inverell Highlanders registered a 26-all draw against Pirates in second grade, forfeited their 3rd grade game while their Women’s 10 team were thumped 80-5
