The Inverell Hawks head to Tamworth tomorrow to play the North Tamworth Bears in another trial match at John Woolaston Oval.
The Hawks are coming off a close loss to the Dungowan Cowboys last weekend in testing conditions and will once again use the game to prepare for their opening clash in the Group 19 Rugby League competition on April 5 against Uralla at Varley Oval.
Hawks 1st grade coach Jamie McCormack says last week’s game gave the team an opportunity to blow out some cobwebs and analyse what’s required to be worked on.
McCormack says the Bears will be a tough prospect but believes the hit-out will be of great benefit to his team.
