by | Jun 30, 2025 | Sport | 0 comments

Tingha Tigers have almost secured a top two position on the Group 19 Rugby League points table after their big 34-14 win over the Glen Innes Magpies at Bob Ward Oval on Saturday.

Tigers Captain Brayden Vickery says it was a tough first half but praised his troops for their 80-minute performance suggesting their defence won them the game.

In other games, the Inverell Hawks showed why they’re the favourites for this year’s premiership with a 66-16 mauling of the Moree Boomerangs at Varley Oval yesterday, Guyra Super Spuds claimed a close 24-18 win over Warialda Wombats, and the Uralla Tigers thumped Narwan 44-6.

In ladies League tag, winners were Narwan over Uralla 44-10, Tingha scraped through against Glen Innes 8-6, Guyra were too good for Warialda 38-12 and Moree accounted for Inverell 30-14 while in the only U18s game, Uralla defeated Inverell 38-12
