The Group 19 Rugby League competition draw is set to be confirmed this weekend with the possibility of three teams re-entering the competition after several years in hiatus.
Glen Innes Magpies, Guyra Superspuds and Uralla Tigers are expected to rejoin the Group this season, joining the Inverell Hawks, Tingha Tigers, Bingara Bullets, Narwan Eels, Armidale Rams, Moree Boomerangs, Walcha Roos and reigning premiers Warialda Wombats.
Group 19 President Peter Presnell says they’re trying to get a Reserve grade competition up and running this year but are also investigating introducing a Ladies tackle competition, looking forward
Mr Presnell says the season will kick off on April 4th, incorporating 14 rounds and will have a break in July to have a Tri-Series tournament with Group 19, Group 4 and Group 21, playing each other in Women’s Tackle, U18s and Men’s Grades.
