Glen Innes Severn Council have advised that testing of PFAS on their water supply has met the required guidelines for local consumption, offering assurances to residents that there is no cause for concern.
In November this year, Council engaged with NSW Health to test for PFAS with results received earlier this month showing the presence of almost no level of PFAS, with council advising that the level is well below current Australian drinking water safety limits.
Proposed future limits released in the draft National health and Medical Research Council fact sheet, also show there is no immediate health risk to residents.
