MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT GRAVESEND, PALLAMALLAWA, AND YARRAMAN FROM WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON
Moderate to heavy rainfall since Tuesday evening has the potential to cause minor flooding at Gravesend, Pallamallawa, and Yarraman from Wednesday afternoon.
Further moderate to heavy rainfall is forecast across the catchment for the remainder of Wednesday.
Gwydir River downstream of Copeton Dam:
Minor flooding may occur along the Gwydir River downstream of Copeton Dam.
The Gwydir River at Gravesend Road Bridge is currently at 2.89 metres and rising, below the minor flood level (6.10 metres).
The Gwydir River at Gravesend Road Bridge may reach the minor flood level (6.10 m) overnight Wednesday into Thursday.
The Gwydir River at Pallamallawa is currently at 2.16 metres and rising, below the minor flood level (6.00 metres).
The Gwydir River at Pallamallawa may reach the minor flood level (6.00 m) Wednesday evening. Further rises are possible with forecast rainfall.
The Gwydir River at Yarraman Bridge is currently at 1.98 metres and rising, below the minor flood level (4.00 metres).
The Gwydir River at Yarraman Bridge may reach the minor flood level (4.00 m) late Wednesday afternoon.
