NSW Rural Fire Service Northern Tablelands District Team have once again suspended fire permits through to this Monday for the Inverell Local Government Areas.
Fire permits were also suspended last week with the RFS stating this measure is being taken to reduce the risk of fires starting and spreading under the heightened fire conditions.
Landholders currently hold a fire permit are unable to light new fires or stoke up existing fires during the suspension period.
The RFS advise any planned burns or activities requiring a permit are postponed and failure in complying with this suspension WILL result in heavy fines.
